Position Overview:
The Paralegal will work with the General Counsel and management by providing clerical and research support services. The successful candidate will possess the ability to work efficiently and independently, manage tasks and projects efficiently and independently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the General Counsel and management.
- Communicates with general counsel and management to discuss assigned projects.
- Assists with all aspects of the administration of contracts in a timely manner. Provides redlined recommendations to General Counsel. Maintains records and documentation on contract deliverables as well as maintains a database of all company contracts.
- Maintains corporate entities and corporate records. Registration and formation of new entities, including obtaining EIN numbers, filing d/b/a’s and preparing documents, amendments.
- Demonstrates an understanding of technical legal terminology and a knowledge of document formats of a legal nature such as contracts, subpoenas, complaints, and motions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to consistently deliver highest quality of work.
- Skilled understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office applications [e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access], database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications.
- Ability to stay organized, manage time, multitask, and prioritize.
- The ability to interface at multiple levels of a corporate organization.
- The ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
Education and Experience:
- Paralegal certificate required.
- Some related experience preferred.
